San Marino’s Chris Gorham has already made a significant impact on the acting world. With titles such as the Lincoln Lawyer, Insatiable, and Covert Affairs under his belt, Gorham’s name is recognizable beyond just the listings of IMBD. But soon, Gorham might have another accomplishment attached to his name. That of negotiator during the strike that has paralyzed Hollywood.
Gorham, a member of SAG-AFTRA, is on the unity slate for its board of directors. He has been on the picket line since Day 1 of the 90-day strike.
Gorham has issues with AMPTP, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Gorham says a lot of the disagreement centers around the use of artificial intelligence and the ownership of images that have been created by AI.
“I’m optimistic there is a settlement to be made,” said Gorham. But it feels as if the AMPTP has decided to let the house burn down – forgetting that they live there, too,” Gorham said. “It is beginning to get painful for a lot of people.”
Gorham, and his wife, Anel Lopez Gorham have three children who are in or have graduated from the San Marino Unified School District.
