Congratulations to South Pasadena Unified School District’s (SPUSD) 2022 Teacher of the Year, Art teacher Sarit Swanborn. Ms. Swanborn was honored at an awards ceremony held on September 23, 2022 at the Universal City Hilton.

Every year, SPUSD recognizes outstanding school site teachers of the year for their care, compassion, and ingenuity in their classrooms. As the SPUSD representative, Ms. Swanborn joined 66 teachers representing 62 school districts who participated in the 41st Annual Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year competition. This competition is designed to focus public attention on teaching excellence and to honor exemplary dedication and professional commitment.
