PRESS RELEASE
A three-day sale of new and gently used books at the Library Community Room during the weekend of Dec. 3 to 5 raised several thousand dollars for the Library. Conducted by the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, the popular event is held annually.

Mark Langill, Dodgers’ Historian, is pleased with what he finds at the Holiday Book Sale.
Holiday shoppers browsed tables of high-quality books in architecture, art, biography, fiction, games, humor, sports and other categories. Books available were for both adults and children. Approximately 500 books were sold. Most were suitable for gift giving.

Members of the Friends were admitted to the sale one hour prior to the official opening on Friday evening Dec. 3. All who attended that night were also able to have their selections gift wrapped.

The sale will continue for the rest of December in the Book Store on the second floor of the Library. For its hours, visit www.friendsofsopaslibrary.org/bookstore. Books reduced in price to 50 cents each are available in a separate shelving area on the first floor in the Library. For Library hours, call 626-403-7350 or visit www.southpasadenaca.gov/library.
