After missing the past few shows, Wine & Song host, Brad Colerick, is back this Wednesday at Lost Parrot Cafe where he will welcome Anna Ash and Our Wild America. In addition, John Schmitt will be on hand to play a few songs. Lost Parrot Cafe has a full bar and limited, but excellent menu. 6pm doors open for 7pm show.
Anna Ash is a Michigan born, Los Angeles based artist. She writes songs of profound, startling, sensuous insight. No Depression Magazine said “Looking through Ash’s lens, California becomes a kind of mystic fever dream, fading in and out of view. Her songs capture a place in flux, in all its beauty and despair.”
Our Wild America (aka Alec Gross) is a New York transplant who we were fortunate to see at Wine & Song on a couple of his tours back in the Firefly days. He sings songs about characters deep in madness and love. Songs of the forest and outer space — stories of our shared human experience.
At Lost Parrot Cafe, 1929 Huntington Dr. in South Pasadena. 6pm doors, 7pm music. Food and full bar available at the venue. $15 corkage.
