This week’s Wine & Song will be guest hosted by David Plenn and will feature Maria Taylor and Noah Zacharin with special guest Sophie Reynolds.

A few words from your guest host:

David Plenn here — I’m thrilled to be stepping in to guest host this Wednesday’s Wine & Song show for the vacationing Brad Colerick. The featured artists are Maria Taylor, a South Pas resident with an extensive (and impressive) musical resume, and Noah Zacharin, an accomplished guitarist/singer/songwriter from Canada. I’ve asked another South Pas native, Sophie Reynolds, to be a guest and sing a few songs, and there may be a few other surprises as well. The Lost Parrot Cafe is really a cool, comfortable hang with a full bar and a small, but excellent menu.

About the artists:

Celebrated South Pasadena singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Maria Taylor is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She is a member of the duo Azure Ray with Orenda Fink. Taylor has collaborated or performed with such artists as Bright Eyes, Phoebe Bridgers, Moby, and Michael Stipe of R.E.M. She and Ryan Dwyer are the co-founders of Flower Moon Records.

Canadian finger-style guitar virtuoso, Noah Zacharin, is a dynamic performer in the vein of fellow countrymen Daniel Lanois and Bruce Cockburn. His songs will seep into your heart and stay there while he makes the long journey back to his off-grid cabin on the Canadian Shield. He is also an award-winning poet.

Wine & Song is sponsored by Tracy Macrum.
