An elderly man was pulled from the wreckage of a vehicle on its side in the 200 block Monterey Road on Thursday afternoon following a collision with a truck.
Eric Zanteson, a division chief with the South Pasadena Fire Department, said the victim was trapped inside the car when authorities arrived at the scene at about 5 p.m.
Crews cut the windshield out of the vehicle to free the man to safety. “It appears that the patient received only minor injuries,” said Zantezon.
