On Friday night before the South Pasadena High School (SPHS) varsity football game, the teams and fans paused in remembrance of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Following the moment of silence, local first responders were honored and thanked for their service. The firefighters and police officers then joined the team captains for the pregame coin toss between SPHS and longtime rival La Cañada High School.
On the field, the Tigers battled the Spartans to the final minute before falling 29-22. SPHS returns to action this Friday, September 18, on the road against the Franklin High School Panthers.
Come out and support the Tigers!
