All three SPUSD elementary schools celebrate Kindness Week at the end of January through the beginning of February in various ways throughout the District in tandem with the national Great Kindness Challenge campaign.

Arroyo Vista participated in the challenge by encouraging students to complete kind acts for others. They also brainstormed ways to Be The “I” in KIND. Marengo Elementary School kicked off its Kindness Week with activities such as leaving or taking an encouraging note from a peer and adding to the Marengo Kindness tree with acts of kindness written on hearts. Monterey Hills students spread kindness by completing kindness activities and creating a kindness mural on campus.
