The win kept the Tigers undefeated with a 4-0 preseason record. The Warriors were the toughest opponents the Tigers have faced so far this season and were also unbeaten.

It was a rematch and sweet revenge for the Tigers loss at Heritage Christian last year. Despite numerous penalties and turnovers the Tigers were able to prevail with stalwart defensive stands.

In one such Warrior drive, it appeared that Heritage Christian would go on to score but a key sack of the quarterback stopped the threat on a fourth down play.

On one South Pasadena drive, the Tigers went for it all on fourth down. Quarterback Jackson Freking hit a wide open receiver in the flat but his knee went down inches before the goal line to stall the drive.
