In a long anticipated season opener, South Pasadena High derailed the visiting L.A. Lincoln Tigers at Solari Stadium 28-7.

The local Tigers dominated their visiting namesakes (who also sported the same team colors) on both offense and defense.

Unlike previous years, the team with the exception of some penalties played mostly error free.

For coach Jeff Chi and his staff, it was a great way to start the season showing that all the pre-season preparations were paying off.

They next travel to Maywood on August 26 to face Maywood CES.
