Look for shopping deals as a variety of South Pasadena merchants will be taking part in Small Business Saturday.

Now in its seventh year, American Express has promoted the event in an effort to promote local businesses during the holiday season.

Small Business Saturday is sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyper Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores, respectively. Small Business Saturday encourages shoppers to patronize mom-and-pop businesses at the start of the holiday season.

The U.S. Small Business Association calls it “a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities.”
