A NOTICE TO THE EDITOR:
The South Pasadena City Council has cancelled the open session of its October 16 meeting, which was the last chance for the community to offer public comment in a high-profile venue before the November 5 election. By a remarkable coincidence, the next council meeting will be on November 6.
With that in mind, I’m organizing “public comment” for the same evening, October 16, and at the same place, City Hall. Come to the courtyard at 1414 Mission St. at 7:30 p.m., as a last chance for public comment before the election. Anyone who wants to speak can speak — all points of view are welcome, and all arguments will be given equal time. Anyone who wants to listen is welcome. The plan is to have an open forum for community discussion on any and all local topics before the election. If you want to offer public comment, plan to speak for three minutes so everyone who wants to can get a chance to speak.
Public Comment

Be mindful of the police station! Keep a clear path to the SPPD public door.
