Susan Pascale’s music students have caught the attention of the entertainment industry.
The production company in charge of talent for Justin Bieber’s latest video, “Yummy” cast Pascale Music Quartet that includes Xola Owens, 13 years old on violin, Eliana Andrea,13 years old on viola, Paulina Salazar, 13 years old on cello and Ian Teigen, 11 years old on 2nd violin.
Pascale Music, successful in putting young musicians on “America’s Got Talent,” operates out of South Pasadena.

As has been the case in every performance opportunity that has presented itself since Susan Pascale and the Los Angeles Children’s Orchestra appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2015, the directors of all projects end up recording the young musicians and putting them on the sound track, even if they were initially brought in as actors.
Bieber’s director and former top fashion photographer for Vogue Magazine, Bardia Zeinali, was so impressed with the level of musicianship that towards the end of the shoot, he had the kids record and perform several more times so he could get close up shots of them for the video.
Bieber was very warm and friendly to the kids and asked 11-year-old Ian if he was nervous and he confidently replied “No, this is exciting!”
Pascale and her students received high praise from the entire crew for their professionalism and upbeat attitude throughout the entire 8 1/2 hour session. The directors, in their parting words, said they looked forward to working with Pascale students again on the next project.
