Pasadena Tournament of Roses celebrates World Music Day with three FREE events

In honor of the 2024 Rose Parade theme – Celebrating a World of Music – Pasadena Tournament of Roses is delighted to join others across the globe on World Music Day.

Join us as we celebrate the day in three ways; Community Jam Session, Rhythm Wellness and You! and Community Drum Circle.

All ages are welcome to come and enjoy the music free of charge…bring your blanket or chair.

COMMUNITY JAM SESSION

NOON – 5 P.M.

Musicians of all types and levels are invited to the Tournament House grounds for an open community jam session. Practice with your band or group, or simply bring your instrument and enjoy the beauty of the Wrigley Mansion rose garden while you play. Audiences of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy the music…bring your blanket or chair.

 

RHYTHM WELLNESS AND YOU! (RSVP required on tournamentofroses.com)

3 – 5 P.M.

This three-part, experiential workshop presented by Remo will cover the therapeutic benefits of music, how music impacts overall health and well-being and the importance of music in education. Learn how to enhance well-being through the experience of drumming and see first-hand how drumming can improve mental clarity, mood, energy, stress and community relationships. Admission is limited to 50 people.

 

COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLE (RSVP required on tournamentofroses.com)

6 – 7 P.M.

Join us for an improvised, free-form drumming experience led by Remo. Bring a drum or any percussion instrument (tambourine, maracas, bucket, cow bells, etc.) or reserve one of ours. Participation is unlimited, but we have limited seating and instruments. Audiences of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy the music…bring your blanket or chair.

 

PARKING: Limited parking in the lot, street parking on Arbor St. and Lockhaven.
