Orville Houg was born in 1930 in Riverside CA. He died September 9th 2022, just 4 months after his wife of 64 years, Carolyn.
Orville obtained his BS in Business Administration at UCLA, simultaneously beginning his career at Sears. He served two years in the army, entertaining troops as a musician.
Orville and Carolyn have been in South Pasadena and Calvary Presbyterian Church since 1963. From 1976 until 2019, Orville worked for Coldwell Banker Residential Realty, San Marino. Orville’s Christian faith was central, but he was also involved with Rotary Club, The Maestros, Oneonta Club, Habitat for Humanity, South Pasadena Cultural Heritage Commission, and more.
He was generous and optimistic. He is survived by sisters Liz and Genie, sons Eric and Tom, daughter-in-law Sheri, and grandsons Matthew and Jacob.
Memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1050 Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030.
