Carolyn Houg was born in eastern Illinois in 1934. Carolyn spent her early childhood in a suburb of Baltimore and lived her teenage years in North Hollywood. Carolyn obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and her teacher credential from UCLA.
She married Orville Houg in 1958. The two started their family near Chicago, but made South Pasadena their home thereafter. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Orville, two sons – Eric and Tom, daughter-in-law Sheri (widow of Carolyn’s third son Bill), and Sheri’s sons – Matthew and Jacob.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 27th, 2022 at 2:00PM at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1050 Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030.
