Meet the City’s Public Arts Commission

As South Pasadena becomes more recognized as a city focusing on the arts, it was timely to create a new Public Arts Commission.

The Public Arts Commission oversees the direction of future arts projects in the city.

South Pasadena Mayor Dr. Marina Khubesrian introduced each member of the Arts Commission during a recent council meeting.

New displays of art can be found in the front entrance and on the second floor at South Pasadena City Hall. It’s just a small dose of what the commission will oversee as the arts blossom in the city.

Meet the new Public Arts Commissioners:

  • Howard Spector, appointed by Council member Dr. Richard Schneider with a term ending Dec. 31, 2020.

  • Steven Wong, appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Robert Joe with a term ending December 31, 2020.

  • Jeff Burke, appointed by Council member Michael Cacciotti with a term ending December 31, 2022.
