The event where residents could bring up to five banker’s boxes to be shredded for a suggested donation of $20, would have benefited youth served by the South Pasadena Kiwanis Club. It has now officially been called off on account of the coronavirus outbreak.

The South Pasadena Kiwanis Club had scheduled the community document-shredding day for Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot behind the South Pasadena Unified School District. It is uncertain when the citywide event will return.

“We will postpone this event for some time in the future,” said Kiwanis member John Vandercook.
