The Downtown Specific Plan will be taking an innovative approach to zoning regulations for the area, usually referred to as a Form-Based Code.

“A Form-Based Code differs from conventional zoning because it puts more emphasis on the relationship between the buildings and the public spaces (road, open space, etc.),” explained David G. Watkins, the City of South Pasadena’s Director of Planning & Building.

To learn more, the City of South Pasadena’s General Plan/Specific Plan consultant Kaizer Rangwalla will hold a training session for the Planning Commission, Cultural Heritage Commission, and the Design Review Board during a joint meeting on Tuesday, February 13, at 7 p.m., in the South Pasadena Library Community Room.
