Families who lost homes and cherished belongings in the devastating Eaton Canyon Fire will receive much-needed support at a special Pick-Up Event hosted by the Rotary Club of South Pasadena and its partners on Sunday, September 29, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 PM at the Canoe House in South Pasadena.
Thanks to the generosity of community donors and local businesses, fire survivors will be able to collect meaningful items, gift cards, and vouchers to replace essentials and special requests that help restore comfort and dignity in their lives.
This recovery effort was made possible through the outpouring of support from:
  • South Pasadena Rotary Club
  • Altadena Musicians
  • Target Stores
  • Book Alley in Pasadena
  • Guitar Center Foundation
  • Young Musicians Foundation
  • Cynthia Abernathy Estates
  • Arnold’s Frontier ACE Hardware of Sierra Madre
  • Arcadia Woman’s Club
  • Michaels of Monrovia
  • Charity On Top Foundation
During the event, survivors will be welcomed by Rotary volunteers wearing their familiar blue aprons, assisting with check-in, distributing vouchers, and helping carry items to cars. Families and volunteers will also enjoy complimentary appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks provided at Canoe House.
“We know recovery goes far beyond bricks and mortar,” said Kathy Selders, Past President of the South Pasadena Rotary Club and Co-Chair of the Eaton Fire Relief project. “People lost not just their homes, but also special possessions that gave them passion, comfort and joy. With the help of our partners and community, we are honored to provide these items to help restore a sense of normalcy.”
Event Details:
  • Date: Monday, September 29, 2025
  • Time: 5:00–9:00 PM
