Community Survey on City Priorities Opens September 15 | City of South Pasadena

CITY OF SOUTH PASADENA RELEASE

The City of South Pasadena is undertaking a process to revise its Strategic Plan and is seeking input from the community. The City is encouraging residents and stakeholders to play an integral role in developing a new community-wide strategic plan by participating in an online survey from September 15 through September 30.

In addition, the last of three focus group meetings will be held on Wednesday September 22, 2021, from 7:00- 9:00 p.m. Residents are invited to share concerns, challenges, opportunities and aspirations for the City. The focus group will be held via zoom; registration is not required.

Community engagement is a vital component of the strategic plan and the input provided will be key in developing needs, priorities, goals and strategies that will guide the City’s vision for the future. The City Council will hold its strategic planning session on October 8 and October 9. The meeting will be broadcast live and recorded for the public to view. A separate notice for the meeting will be posted in accordance with the Brown Act.

The Strategic Planning process is intended to be a thought-provoking and comprehensive examination of the key issues confronting the community and identification of an agreed upon set of priorities which guides decision-making for the City Council.
