A car chase ended in South Pasadena Friday night after a male suspect was apprehended near the city’s high school.

Monitoring the action was a helicopter from Channel 2 News Los Angeles.

Footage showed the pursuit ending at about 11 p.m. after the driver left the truck and took off on foot only to be stopped minutes later and detained by members of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Channel 2 News reported that the chase originated in and around the Highland Park and Eagle Rock areas as police cruisers followed the stolen vehicle mostly along surface streets and a portion of the 110 Freeway before it ended.

No one was injured during the incident but the news station reported the motorist may have hit and damaged a vehicle as the truck traveled at a high speed in South Pasadena.
