At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, a two car collision occurred on the northeast corner of Hope St. and Fremont Ave. in South Pasadena.
According to Sergeant Jim Valencia of the South Pasadena Police Department, a vehicle heading northbound on Fremont Ave. was hit in the driver’s side rear fender by another automobile trying to cross the typically busy north/south corridor of Fremont heading west on Hope.
The car heading on Fremont spun out and eventually ended up halfway up the curb and facing the opposite direction of traffic in the northbound lane.
Traffic flow was not impeded on Fremont due to the accident, however eastern hope street was blockaded from Fremont Ave. to Mound St. in order to accommodate responding personnel and give access to a tow truck.
No one involved was said to have sustained any serious injuries at the scene, but one driver was stated as “complaining of pain”.
