The Arroyo Vista Elementary School PTA invites you to join us Friday, November 11th for a fundraising event featuring live music from singer-songwriter Maria Taylor. The evening, hosted by James and Dunia Gill, will benefit the 5th Grade Promotion, which supports activities and programs related to 5th grade events, such as the yearbook, promotion ceremony, and annual class gift at AV.
Maria is a singer-songwriter and half of the indie-dream-pop duo Azure Ray. She has collaborated and performed with Bright Eyes, Phoebe Bridgers, Adam Duritz of The Counting Crows, Moby, Michael Stipe of R.E.M., and Daniel Johnston. Her songs have been featured in TV & films including Grey’s Anatomy, This Is Us, Cobra Kai, The Devil Wears Prada and more.
She also founded Flower Moon Records, an independent record label, located here in South Pasadena.
A limited number of tickets are available for purchase. The evening is billed as an “intimate music journey under the stars” featuring a live musical performance by Maria, and includes wine & hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, followed by a dance party. The event begins at 7PM at the Gill residence, located at 533 Orange Grove Ave, South Pasadena.
