A giant yard sale in support of the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses (SPTOR) is being held May 6-7 at the War Memorial Building in the city.

Proceeds will go to building and decorating the SPTOR float in the 2023 Rose Parade. Items sold at the yard sale will help pay for steel, flowers and other materials on the city’s entry put together entirely by community volunteers.

Clothing, housewares, tools, pots, picture frames, furniture and a lot more will be sold during the two-day event. Hours of operation: Friday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This is a new fundraiser for us and we hope you will come out and support it much like others, including our annual golf tournament and year-end silent and live auction as part of the Crunch Time Party,” said SPTOR President Brant Dunlap said in a statement. “This is going to be a great yard sale and we look forward to seeing you there.”

The War Memorial Building is located at 435 Fair Oaks Avenue in South Pasadena.

More information about the yard sale can also be found at SPTOR.org. Volunteers are still needed to work the yard sale. For more information, contact Steve Fillingham at sftballsteve@aol.com.
