Next WISPPA Meeting: This Saturday, April 7th at 9:00 . “WISPPA Celebrates the Arts: Lissa Layng Reynolds will be performing a 45 minute concert reading of A WOMAN OF INDEPENDENT MEANS written by Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FUTURE WISPPA MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT THE SENIOR CENTER AT 1102 OXLEY. Actress and WISPPA member Lissa Layng Reynolds performed the play, “A Woman of Independent Means” for a 6 month run at the Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena, before touring the show in the US and Canada. She also performed a shorter version at the Arts Crawl recently. Even if have seen the play (or reading) or have read the book, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with this special play/book again. If you haven’t experienced this, you won’t want to miss it!!

Woman’s Club Community Rummage Sale Saturday, April 7 (9:30 am-3:00 pm) at the Clubhouose, 1424 Fremont Avenue. Ron Koertge (South Pasadena resident and poet) discusses and signs Olympusville Tuesday, April 10, 2018 – 7:00pm Olympusville is a hybrid of poems-and-illustrations about the antics of the Greek gods. NWPC’s training for women interested in running for political office at any level will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at the Flintridge Center. WISPPA is co sponsoring. Series of music concerts produced by the Pascale Music Institute (formerly the South Pasadena Strings Program) sponsored by the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena. The concerts will include a variety of music from Classical to Jazz and will be held the first Sunday of the month (2017-2018) at the Clubhouse. Professional musicians from the LA Philharmonic and students and faculty of the Institute will perform. Proceeds benefit the Club’s historic Building Restoration Fund.
