Wine & Song | Wednesday June 5 at 7pm featuring Paul Givant and Lisa Richards

After last Wednesday’s backyard hootenanny, Wine & Song will be headed over to the Kutzer Company courtyard for a very special show, made possible by Wine & Song sponsor Tracy Macrum in addition to support from John Antich of the Jacaranda Veranda. The address is 720 Mission Street in South Pas (across from the Baranger Building.) Gates open at 6pm with catered food from My Taco. Food and wine are not included in the ticket price so bring some cash for the donation jar (Venmo also accepted). Music starts up at 7:00.

After this show, Wine & Song will be paused until June 26 when they will come together with WISPPA for a joint event at the home of Mary Urquhart. See you Wednesday!

Paul Givant was born and bred in Los Angeles, and shaped musically and spiritually by the valleys and hills of SoCal and its edge-of-the-earth vibe as a mecca for lost souls, lonely hearts, and wannabe mystics and rock-and-roll rebels. Since 2006 he has helmed Rose’s Pawn Shop — a soulful, energetic tangle of folk, Americana, and rock with complex vocal harmonies and heartache-forged lyrics. His solo project, Fashion District Adjacent, is full of lyrically sharp, witty, and wryly self-aware songs and instrumental versatility.

With an affinity for underdogs and outsiders, Northern Australia native Lisa Richards crafts guitar-based songs rooted in folk, roots, and jazz, delving into the tapestry of human experience, connection, and emotion. Her distinctive voice, described as both “ferocious and sweet,” draws comparisons to musical luminaries such as Bjork, Iris Dement, and Billie Holiday. We’ll also hear from special guest Chauncey Bowers.
