Wine and Song returns to South Pasadena this week with a live performance featuring international and local folk acts. The concert takes place on Wednesday, September 9, at The Hive, located at 1118 Mission Street.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the music runs from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
The evening features The Black Feathers, a UK-based Americana and acoustic rock duo consisting of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler. Known for Hughes on guitar and tight vocal harmonies, the pair have built a loyal following in the UK and have performed across the United States at events like the Philadelphia Folk Festival, AmericanaFest, and the Kate Wolf Music Festival.
Sharing the bill is Sycamore and Ash, a South Pasadena indie folk ensemble formed by cellist David Landau and guitarist Molly Oran. The duo performs original songs exploring life, love, and loss through cello, guitar, and vocals. Their debut single, “Let It Out, Let It In,” is out now, with a new single, “When You’re Gone,” slated for release later this year.
