After a fantastic show last week, hosted by David Plenn, Brad Colerick is back in town for this Wednesday’s hootenanny that is WINE & SONG at Lost Parrot Cafe. This week features Lucas Lawson and John Hewitt.
Lucas Lawson is a young singer-songwriter who grew up on an organic farm just north of Santa Cruz where he was exposed to the balance and harmonies that all living things offer. At a young age, he began attending bluegrass barn-dances on the farm, where he first learned to play guitar alongside local group, the County Line Pickers. When those gatherings came to a halt in March of 2020, he turned to writing and recording his debut EP: Revisited Harbor.
John Hewitt is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Edmonton, Alberta. His debut album American Hotel was set to be released in 2020 but the pandemic brought it to a halt. He continued to write and record throughout 2021 coming up with material for his albums Dead Lovers, Hollywood Reality, and Life Blood & Tears. He returned to the road in 2022 and performed across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Montana, Utah, and Colorado.
At Lost Parrot Cafe, 1929 Huntington Dr. in South Pasadena. 6pm doors, 7pm music. Food and full bar available at the venue. $15 corkage.
