Wine & Song at Lost Parrot Cafe | Wednesday December 13

Wine & Song continues its residency at Lost Parrot Cafe this week with Gregory Page and Arielle Silver on Wednesday December 13 at 7pm.

Gregory Page grew up in North London. He was a shy, quiet boy, fond of his grandfather’s 78 RPM record collection. At fourteen he went to America, and for the next 5 years wrote poetry and learned to play guitar. A rebuff from a girl he loved was the starting point of his despair. Writing about this wretched world and finding some consolation in his clumsy efforts to represent what he saw and felt, he resolved at twenty-seven to become a songwriter. According to Gregory, “The tightrope my music teeters upon is the struggle between tradition and progress, history and fantasy. I am the songbird and the worm.”

Arielle Silver is a consummate storyteller whose rich, expressive voice and acoustic guitar frame expansive melodies that echo her tours and travels across American. Raised in woodsy and watery places up and down the Atlantic Seaboard, Arielle now lives in Los Angeles. Her latest album Watershed is an earthy, luminous, and literate collection of songs that emerged from the watershed moments of the pandemic.
