As we barrel towards Thanksgiving, Wine & Song at Lost Parrot Cafe will be presenting Mitch Grainger and Nathan & Jessie on Wednesday November 8. Host Brad Colerick will be out of town this week and stepping in will be David Plenn. If you haven’t checked out Wine & Song at Lost Parrot Cafe yet, come on down for the town hootenanny that has a full bar and limited but excellent menu. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7.
Mitch Grainger is an Australia native now residing in Nashville. He infuses traditional blues and roots stylings with a confidence and depth of spirit that has seen him compared to the likes of Robert Johnson by music critics. Elmore Magazine wrote,“His light-fingered guitar and mournful harp perfectly play up Grainger’s modern lyrics and traditional-sounding melodies; close your eyes, and you can feel the heat and smell the dust of Mississippi.”
Nathan Rivera and Jessie Andra Smith, a.k.a. Nathan & Jessie, have traveled all over the world performing on both streets and stages with their unique sound. A fusion of jazzy folk and blues on National reso-phonic guitars and accordion. The spontaneity at a Nathan & Jessie show, with their interesting vocal interplay and trilingual performances is magical. The music is uplifting and fun with a message for people of all ages and cultures. They will be joined by upright bassist Trevor Mulvey.
