A community workshop – What to Do About Mom? – designed for families and caregivers to assist them with aging matters is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the South Pasadena Library Community Room.

The event, presented by the city’s Senior Commission and Senior Center, will include seven speakers covering a variety of topics facing the elderly.

Among the issues discussed will be talking to parent, the role of adult protective services, caregiver wellness, utilizing an occupational therapist, having an advanced care health directive, hoarding and identifying issues before the crisis.

Agencies servicing seniors will be available to share information on services. Refreshments, sponsored by the Senior Citizens Foundation, will be available.
