The Weekly Crime Summary is a list of reported auto thefts, burglaries, robberies and other
activities occurring in the City of South Pasadena. An alert and well-informed citizen makes you less of a target to a criminal. Remember, call the South Pasadena Police Department to report any suspicious activity.
ROBBERY
• 7-17-25, 11:52 AM, 1700 block of Garfield (Ralphs). Suspects enter store
and takes loss, then exits store without paying for loss. Victim (employee)
confronts S1 and attempts to take back loss, but S1 forcefully retains loss.
Victim feels a grip of a pistol in S1’s waistband and releases loss. Suspects
walk to a waiting vehicle and drive away. LOSS: Alcohol. SUSPECT
VEHICLE: Silver, Mercedes sedan. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 –
Male, Black, 6’00”, thin build, wearing blue pants and a gray sweatshirt. S2
– Female, Black, 5’7”, heavyset, wearing a red sweater.
• 7-21-25, 8:30 PM, 900 block of Meridian (Metro Platform). Victim is on
Metro platform holding loss, when suspect walks by and grabs loss from
victim’s hand. Suspect flees by entering a Metro train. LOSS: Cell phone.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, thin build, wearing dark clothes.
STOLEN VEHICLE
7-15-25, 10 PM to 7-16-25, 9 AM, 1900 block of Monterey. ’95, Porsche 911.
THEFT
• 7-14-25, 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks. ’25, BMW. Suspect(s)
deflates victim’s rear tire as victim is inside bank. Victim enters car and
sees low tire pressure light on. Victim exits vehicle and walks to the rear of
vehicle as suspect(s) enter victim’s unlocked vehicle and takes loss.
LOSS: Purse.
• 7-13-25, 3 PM to 7-15-25, 9 AM, 1000 block of Arroyo. ’14, Toyota Corolla,
’14, Toyota Corolla. Suspect(s) cuts and removes loss from victim’s two
vehicle. LOSS: Catalytic converter.
• 7-17-25, 7:34 PM, 1700 block of Garfield (Ralphs). Suspect enters store
and takes loss, then exits store without paying for loss. LOSS: Alcohol.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, wearing a blue beanie and dark
clothes.
IDENTITY THEFT/FRAUD
• 7-15-25, 4 PM, 700-800 block of Fair Oaks. Suspect enters several
restaurants and pays for goods with counterfeit currency. Officers contact
suspect and suspect leads officers in a foot pursuit before being
apprehended. During pursuit suspect discards counterfeit currency on the
ground, which is recovered. A search of suspect’s vehicle recovered
additional counterfeit currency and illegal drugs. SUSPECT ARRESTED:
Male, Black, 35 years, Georgia.
• 7-16-25, 10:28 AM, 1000 block of Fair Oaks (Wells Fargo). Victim walks up
to ATM and sees suspects arguing in front. Victim attempts to use ATM but
has trouble with transaction. Victim places loss in shirt pocket and enter
bank to deposit checks. Victim exits bank and enters vehicle. As victim
closes door, S1 approaches and is holding money and tells victim that he
dropped some money on the ground. Victim refuses and suspect insists
that victim dropped money and suspect places hand inside victim’s vehicle
towards victim’s pocket. Victim continues to refuse and drives away. Victim
later discovers loss missing from shirt pocket and suspects makes several
unauthorized withdrawals from victim’s account. LOSS: Debit card with
PIN. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, wearing a long-sleeved shirt
and long pants. S2 – Female, wearing a shirt, shawl, and a headband.
BRANDISHING A FIREARM
7-19-25, 3:26 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks. Suspect and victim were in a
relationship. Victim is sitting inside a vehicle when suspect opens car door and
starts to yell at victim. Victim sees a pistol in suspect’s waistband.
TRANSPORT DRUGS
7-8-25, 4 PM, 400 block of Fair Oaks (FedEx). Suspect attempts to ship packages
containing marijuana. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Female, Asian.
POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
7-15-25, 4:05 AM, Glendon Way/El Centro. Officer contact suspect who is having
car trouble and is found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. SUSPECT
ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 38 years, Los Angeles.
DUI
7-19-25, 12:43 AM, Fremont/Lyndon. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and
is found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. SUSPECT ARRESTED:
Male, Hispanic, 34 years, La Puente.
