On November 23, 2022, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed one misdemeanor count of PC 192(c)(2) – Vehicular Manslaughter against Melissa Wang, an adult female resident of the City of Alhambra. The charge stemmed from a fatal traffic collision, which occurred on the evening of July 27, 2022, at Marengo Avenue and Maple Street.
Wang struck three adult pedestrians crossing the street. All three pedestrians suffered injuries in the collision, and one pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
Wang was arraigned in Alhambra Superior Court on the charge on November 30, 2022. Wang’s next court date is scheduled for January 12, 2023, in Alhambra Superior Court for a pre-preliminary hearing.
