Tribute to Veterans at Woman’s Club November 3

The South Pasadena Woman’s Club will welcome President of the Vietnam Veterans of America – San Gabriel Valley chapter, Allan Stezler, and representatives of the Foundation for Women Warriors (FFWW), as featured speakers at the November 3rd club meeting and luncheon.  The presenters will describe how the organizations serve and support veterans

The public is encouraged to attend and learn more about how South Pasadena residents can make a difference for veterans, and to meet and thank veterans who have served our country. .  Local veterans attending the meeting will be introduced including Club member, Joan Moffett, a WWII Army nurse. Marshall St. John, a WWII Marine veteran and South Pasadena resident has also been invited to join the event.

The Club has a long history of support for active military and veterans, including “Operation Cookie” which began in WWII for soldiers stationed around the world and continues today for hospitalized and homeless veterans.   If you have a family member or friend who has served in the military, please ask them to join us as well! They will be welcomed as guests of the club for the program and luncheon,

The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. and the program starts at 11:00 a.m. A delicious lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Cost is $15 and reservations may be made by calling (626) 403-0477 or RSVP via email: spwc1899@aol.com
