To celebrate the series finale of “The Big Bang Theory,” the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau in association with the City of Pasadena and Warner Bros. Television will host a free screening of the pop-culture comedy series on Thursday, May 16th at 8 p.m.

The event is expected to attract over 1,400 attendees who will also have a chance to experience space- and science- themed exhibits from Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), as well as a pre-screening panel with JPL scientist and Caltech alumnus Varoujan Gorjian and Caltech/IPAC staff scientist Jessie Christiansen. The panel will be moderated by Bobak Ferdowsi, a systems engineer at JPL. Caltech manages JPL on behalf of NASA.

“The Big Bang Theory’ has shined a spotlight on Pasadena for 12 years, highlighting the city’s central role in space exploration and higher education through a group of friends that everyone has come to love. The show has introduced our city to a worldwide audience in a lighthearted way and we are very grateful” said Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek.

In 2016, the City of Pasadena declared February 25th as Big Bang Theory Day, giving the hit comedy series its own street. Big Bang Theory Alley runs parallel to Raymond Avenue and Arroyo Parkway between Holly Street and Green Street in Old Pasadena.

“With the Pasadena Convention Center celebrating 10 years of excellence this May, we are excited to bring fans one step closer to a series that has brought so much attention to our city,” said Jeanne O’Grady Goldschmidt, executive director at the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau.
