A 33-year-old South Pasadena woman was arrested for negligent discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling after local authorities responded to a hospital report on Tuesday, July 1.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers from the South Pasadena Police Department were dispatched to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena following a report of a female patient with an arm injury consistent with a bullet graze. The woman initially informed officers that the incident occurred at her residence on the 800 block of Adelaine Avenue in South Pasadena and involved a male acquaintance.
Investigation Leads to Arrest and Recovery of Firearm
Detectives from the South Pasadena Police Department quickly initiated an investigation. Upon arriving at the Adelaine Avenue home, investigators found evidence indicating that a firearm had been discharged inside the residence.
Authorities secured and executed a search warrant, which resulted in the recovery of a firearm and other items of evidentiary value.
After further questioning, the woman revised her initial statement, confirming that no one else was involved in the incident. Based on this statement and the recovered evidence, Jamie Sinclaire, 33, of South Pasadena, was arrested for discharging a firearm inside a dwelling.
She was booked and is currently being held at the Pasadena City Jail.
