Suspect Arrested for Annoyance of a Minor | South Pasadena Police Department

On February 16, 2023, at 7:26 a.m., South Pasadena Police Department officers responded to the 1400 Block of Bank Street for a report of a suspicious male. The adult male approached a female juvenile who was walking to school and began asking her questions. She ignored him and walked away, but the male continued to follow her. Eventually, she was able to cross Fair Oaks Avenue to get away from him. The juvenile promptly reported the incident to her mother, who then called the police.

Officers located the male near Fair Oaks Avenue and Bank Street. The male, who was later identified as thirty-eight-year-old Deshawn Terrell Martin, was positively identified by the victim. Martin is an out-of-state violent sex registrant with prior convictions for sex crimes involving minors.

Martin was arrested for P.C. 647.6, Annoying / Molesting a Minor, and taken to Alhambra City Jail for booking and housing.
