It was a perfect summer evening for the City of Pasadena’s first concert at Garfield Park on July 25. Susie Hansen Latin Band, a long time Los Angeles staple, had South Pasadenans showing off their best cumbias, rhumbas and cha-cha’s as neighbors happily gathered on the great lawn in Garfield Park. It’s been over 15 months since South Pasadena hosted a live event and one could sense the joy in the air as neighbors settled in on blankets and chairs, eating, dancing and just enjoying being out together listening to live music. Welcome back South Pasadenans. It’s been a long time comin’!
The next concert at Garfield Park is scheduled for Sunday August 8, from 5pm – 7pm and will feature the vintage rock sounds of the Rayford Bros Band. See you there!
