The senior community is the target of many unsavory scammers.
Stop Senior Scams, a selfless, hardworking theatrical sketch group, will make a presentation on Friday, Feb. 9, from noon to 1, at the South Pasadena Senior Center.
Led by Adrienne Omansky, members of the organization travel throughout the Los Angeles area talking about scams that target seniors. In an entertaining way, they hope to protect the senior community and provide a valuable educational service.
The event will be hosted by Senator Anthony J. Portantino at 1102 Oxley St. in South Pasadena. Box lunches provided by Portantino will be offered through reservations.
Contact the Senior Center Office at (626) 403-7360 to
sign up. Space is limited. Lunch will be served at 11:45 am prior to the program.
