To celebrate Read Across America Week, March 2-6, 2026, special guest readers from throughout South Pasadena Unified School District (SPUSD) visited Monterey Hills classrooms and shared their favorite stories with students. School board members, administrators, and District employees all joined in the celebration of literacy.
Our schools highlight the importance of reading in many ways, including but not limited to magnificent art installations at Arroyo Vista that highlight reading and storytelling, and annual book fairs for students and families.
Thank you to all of our guests and volunteers who make reading come alive for our students!
