GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Under general direction of school administration, monitors student and group behavior in the lunch area, cafeteria and on the playground; maintains a safe and clean atmosphere in the lunch area; uses good judgment regarding safety matters; enforces school playground rules; monitors and supervises students during recess, in classrooms in inclement weather; uses appropriate problem solving strategies to resolve student conflicts; notifies administration of safety hazards, vandalism, and other disruptive activities; assists in emergencies concerning students’ vandalism, and other disruptive activities; assists in emergencies concerning students’ supervision; demonstrates patience; responds positively to suggestions; is friendly and pleasant; assists school personnel as required; performs other duties as related.
