The City of South Pasadena Community Services Department’s annual Spring Eggstravaganza took on a different look this year, as a parade of cars rolled on through the Arroyo Seco Golf Course’ parking lot on Saturday, April 3.
City officials, commission representatives, local organizations, and some furry friends all participated in the 3-hour long event, handing out ‘Bunny Bags’ full of goodies and more to kids and their families.
Among those involved in spreading some vernal cheer were: members of the City of South Pasadena’s Youth Commission, South Pasadena Police and Fire Departments, South Pasadena Chinese-American Club (SPCC), Vecinos de South Pasadena, American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO), South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC), Grocery Outlet, and Brit West Soccer camp.

Many donned rabbit ears to add to the festive atmosphere. Colorful, seasonal eggs and plenty of tasty sweets were personally delivered to tykes sitting comfortably in their carseats.
As the Spring season, which started on March 20, ushered in warmer weather and longer days, it also brought not just one, but two, different rabbit friends out to the occasion on Saturday!
