On April 7, 2023, more than 125 schools from around the country and one school from Australia participated in the 2023 Tiger Invitational held at South Pasadena High School. Schools attending from states outside of California included New York, Washington, Illinois, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada.
Student-athlete volunteers helped organize the invitational, and events were live streamed on YouTube. Head SPHS Track Coach CB Richards directed the day’s activities including a DJ, food service, t-shirts, announcers and an impressive medal display.
