Judy Chu’s 2017 Congressional Art Exhibition and Competition took place at the Huntington Library Saturday June 3. It was a beautiful day at the gardens as more than 150 students participated in the event with SPHS having the greatest number of students exhibiting work.
It was an impressive showcase for our talented artists and congratulations are in order for our students who placed in the top ten! Angelica Navarro took 2nd place, with Becky Seo and Amani Mbugua both receiving Honorable Mention.
The SPHS based South Pasadena Elite Choir performed at the event directed by Lia Donovan.
SPHS artists are currently on display at the SPARC Gallery on Mission Street inside the Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations to these talented Tigers!
