South Pasadena Theatre Workshop | A Christmas Carol Opens December 2

Performances take place at South Pasadena Theatre Workshop from December 2 through December 18, Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 5pm.

South Pasadena Theatre Workshop is thrilled to present winter performances of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol in December 2022. Performances take place Fridays at 7:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 5:00pm from December 2 through 18, 2022 at South Pasadena Theatre Workshop at 1507 El Centro Street, South Pasadena.

Originally written by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser, hard and sharp as flint, whose dead business partner Jacob Marley appears to him on Christmas Eve to warn him to change his ways before he becomes an eternally joyless, wandering soul. Scrooge is then visited by three spirits – Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future – who all carry the keys to his reclamation.

“We believe there is no better place to celebrate the joyful, rich storytelling traditions of the holidays than the theatre,” said Sally Smythe, Co-Director of A Christmas Carol and Co-Founder of South Pasadena Theatre Workshop. “We hope our community will support local theatre this holiday season and experience firsthand this classic tale about redemption, generosity, and compassion.”
