On St. Patrick’s Day March 17, nearly 70 seniors enjoyed coffee, pastries and other sweets, along with green grapes, starting at 10:30 a.m. on the patio of the Senior Center. “It was most definitely our most popular social hour since we reopened,” said Melissa Snyder, Community Services Supervisor, referring to the shutdown caused by the pandemic.

Former Mayor Bob Joe, who as a city councilmember had volunteered at Senior Center events for a decade, attended and said, “It was great to see all the seniors coming back.” Many wore green. All enjoyed seeing familiar faces following easing of pandemic-related restrictions.
