South Pasadena Public Library Teams up with Woman’s Club for Special Program

“Reading Your Way Through Absolutely Everything That Comes Your Way” is the title of a program to be presented starting at 10:30 a.m. April 7 at the monthly Woman’s Club meeting on Zoom. Cathy Billings, library director, South Pasadena Public Library and Sally Kilby, president, Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library are the featured speakers; The public is invited to participate in this zoom meeting.

Billings will describe the many library services being offered during the pandemic, including the Library’s new mobile app a quick and simple way to access the Library from your smart phone or mobile device.

Although the Library has been closed to control the spread of COVID-19, a no-contact checkout service has enabled bibliophiles to continue access to their favorite books and place holds in the catalog. Kilby will discuss the services and programs provided by The Friends of the Library, including the status of their popular “second hand” book store. Those attending this zoom meeting will be asked to share memorable books, movies or televisions series they liked.
