The Restoration Committee of the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library will be presenting the Fiato Quartet at the next Restoration Concert on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The chamber music program will include music by Haydn, Jessie Montgomery, Aaron Copland, John Corigliano, & Korngold. Tickets at the door are $25. The concert will be held at the beautiful historic Library Community Room at 1115 El Centro St. in South Pasadena.

The Fiato Quartet, winner of the 2022 Beverly Hills National Auditions, came together in 2008 out of a love for chamber music and a common goal to share this passion with others through both formal and outreach concerts. Its members are Carrie Kennedy and Joel Pargman, violins, Aaron Oltman, viola and Ryan Sweeney, cello.
The musicians of Fiato currently have active concert careers throughout Southern California. As studio musicians in Los Angeles, they also record music for motion pictures, television and records. Each member of Fiato brings a unique set of experiences and training to the ensemble, having studied with the Tokyo, Takacs, Guarneri, American, Miami and Emerson Quartets.
The Restoration Concerts Committee, a committee of the non-profit organization, The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, has a goal to bring world-class music at an affordable price to the concertgoers in South Pasadena and surrounding communities. As the name suggests, net proceeds from the concerts provide for restorations, enhancements and other benefits to the South Pasadena Public Library and Community Room.
