After two games and two wins, there’s plenty of optimism as South Pasadena’s Junior Division baseball team continues to ride the wave at the Western Regionals in Bend, Oregon, with an opportunity to reach the World Series later this summer.

The group of 13-14 year-old All-Stars representing Southern California now advances to the semi-finals of the winner’s bracket after turning away Nevada 14-1 and Idaho 7-3 to get the double elimination tournament underway.

Next up, South Pasadena gears up to face Washington at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Hawaii and Northern California play in the other semi-final.
